Manhattan, KS + 2.21.03-2.22.03 This weekend 6 of us brothers carried the cross in Manhattan, Kansas. We started out Friday night in Aggieville with wind chills hovering around zero. Praise God that He sustained us for over three hours out there. Many touching moments occurred with each of us being able to openly share our faith and praying with others. There were also many words that were directed against us though these words seemed to inspire us more than anger us. Many who spoke these words actually came up and chatted with us as well. Many left with conviction on their hearts. One touching and inspiring moment came when a brother that had been drinking a bit decided to join us for awhile. He was shouting out PRAISE JESUS to all who would listen. In my mind I thought, man I wish this guy would keep it down a bit then he looked me in the eye and said: come on man, let them all know, they all have to know, SHOUT IT OUT! I was very convicted. Not long after that we encountered a bold sister who thought we were blaspheming God because she thought we were not serious about what we were doing. After some talking she became very convicted of things in her own life and began weeping. It was a very beautiful moment. We pray that God will continue to do an awesome work in her life and in the lives of all where seeds have been planted along the way. We also had the blessing of having my Uncle Dennis take us to watch the K-State women basketball play, most of whom are Christians. The Holy Spirit was very much alive as we entered the building. Seeing a team like this play together not for themselves but for the Lord kept a smile on my face the whole game. Afterwards we stood with the cross outside the stadium and prayed for people as they left. GOD SAVE MANHATTAN KANSAS! |
