Dixon, IL + 12.14.02

After carrying the cross in Dixon, IL (100 miles west of Chcago) for about 30 minutes, I was stopped by a man named Jim Holloway. Jim motioned me over to his car and said, "I'm intrigued. Why are you doing this?" I responded, "I am just out carrying the cross for Jesus today." To which Jim replied, "So what are you trying to accomplish?" I answered, "We're just trying to get people to think about Jesus and what He did for them." Following these few remarks, Jim informed me that he was a pastor at a church about 20 minutes from Dixon. He proceeded to invite me to share with his congregation the next day what we were doing, and why we were carrying the cross.
At church the next day we did share with his congregation the burden that God had placed on our hearts to carry the cross. A man that attends church there, Terry, has been carrying the cross for years at annual Harley conventions in Sturgis, ND. Terry blessed Jason, Josh, and myself with a bag full of tracts and bibles, and some sweet biker shirts. While I was standing in the lobby of the church and snacking, a woman gave me $50 for our ministries. What an amazing trip.
